IFS In-Person Training with Mel

An Immersive Path into IFS

These in-person experiences are designed to support not just what you know about IFS, but how you embody it. With a strong emphasis on presence, safety, and experiential practice, each training becomes a space for meaningful connection—within yourself and with others.

The Inner Path: A 5-Day IFS Foundational Intensive

October 22–26, 2026 · Iceland · Foundational Training for Practitioners

Something in you has been ready for this for a long time.

The Inner Path is a five-day immersive foundational training in Internal Family Systems — held in the quiet, wild beauty of Iceland. This is not just a place to learn the IFS model. It is a place to feel it, to let it move through your system, and to leave genuinely changed.

Designed for therapists, counsellors, social workers, and helping professionals who are new to IFS or deepening their foundations, this training weaves together teaching, experiential practice, and small-group facilitation in a container that allows for real connection and real learning.

Over five days together, you will explore:

►The core architecture of IFS — parts, Self, and the 8 Cs of Self energy

►How to facilitate and be facilitated in a safe, supported setting

►How your own inner system shows up in your clinical work

►The presence and Self-led groundedness this model asks of us

►Community with other practitioners walking this path

Iceland is not an accident. Its landscape — ancient, unhurried, and vast — mirrors the spaciousness that IFS invites. Something about being held by that kind of wildness makes the inner work go deeper.

When you feel ready, the door is open.

Self-Led Grieving: An IFS Approach to Loss

November 14–15, 2026 · Iceland · Open to Practitioners and Anyone with a Working Knowledge of IFS

Grief is not something to be fixed. It is something to be accompanied.

Grief is universal. All trauma includes loss — and loss is not only about death. It lives in the experiences that alter a life: a relationship that ended, a path that closed, a version of yourself that had to be left behind. These are all things that deserve to be witnessed.

Self-Led Grieving is a two-day experiential training in Iceland that explores grief through the lens of Internal Family Systems. This training is not about the phases of grief, and it is not about categorizing loss. It is about learning to be with grief — not working through it on a timeline, not managing it — but truly meeting the parts that are carrying it.

Language matters here. We will explore the difference between working with grief and being with grief, and why that distinction shapes everything about how we show up for the people we walk alongside — and for ourselves.

Over two days, you will explore:

►How IFS understands grief — the parts that carry it, the protectors that shield us from it, and the Self energy that can finally hold it

►Grief as universal experience — not ranked, not categorized, not judged by what caused it

►The two clusters of parts in the grieving system and how they work together (or don’t)

►Cultural and family burdens around grief — what we were taught about loss, and what actually belongs to us

►Ways to be with grief: witnessing, titration, welcoming grief into the space, and holding it with Self energy

►How identity shifts in the wake of loss, and how parts begin to find a new story

This training is for practitioners who want to deepen their capacity to sit with grief — and for anyone who has ever wondered what it would feel like to finally stop rushing through their own.

When you feel ready, the door is open.

Radical Self Love: Turning Toward Shame — In-Person Retreat

November 20–23, 2026 · Belgium · In-Person Healing Retreat

Shame thrives in silence. This is where we break that silence — together.

Radical Self Love: Turning Toward Shame is an immersive four-day in-person retreat that invites you to do one of the most courageous things a person can do: turn toward the parts of yourself that have been carrying shame, and meet them with compassion.

Through the Internal Family Systems model, this retreat creates a deeply held, experiential container for exploring shame — not from a distance, but up close, in community, where real witnessing can happen. This is not a workshop. This is not a professional training. This is a healing journey we take together.

Over four days, participants will receive:

► Collective unburdening processes for gently releasing the weight of shame

► Deep teachings on how shame shapes identity, relationships, and the nervous system

► Guided meditations created specifically for this work

► Small group connection, large group sharing, and integration support

► The rare, healing experience of being fully witnessed — without judgment

Shame loses its power when it is no longer held alone. Something becomes possible here that cannot happen in isolation: real healing, in real community.

This work not only transforms how we relate to ourselves — it deepens how we show up in our relationships, our communities, and our professional practice.

When you feel ready, the door is open.
